Atheric is a small studio for premium digital work — websites and interfaces for clients who care about the difference. We take on two to three projects at a time. That is the point.

three movements; one object.

Every commission moves through the same three rooms. We resist the start-up choreography of sprints and ceremonies. Instead, we work like a small workshop: slowly, in private, until the thing has a weight of its own.

We listen, then we draw the silhouette.

Two weeks in the same room as your team. We take notes on butcher paper, sketch in pencil, never in Figma. The deliverable is a shape — a north star with edges, not a deck.

— II / forge

We make one version, well, before another.

Six to twelve weeks at the bench. Code, type, motion, copy — built in the right order, by the same small team. No handoff. Each iteration ships into a private staging room you can visit any morning.

— III / polish

We refuse to ship until it feels still.

Two weeks of nothing but small things — kerning, easing curves, copy weights, the loading screen, the empty states. The work either has a quiet hum to it or it doesn't. We wait for the hum.

— what we collect

Email correspondence: If you write to hello@atheric.eu, we receive your message and your sending address. That is the only direct channel.
Server logs: Our host (Vercel) records standard HTTP request data — IP address, timestamp, user agent — for routing, abuse prevention, and HTTPS. Retained per the host's policy.
Local preferences: The site stores your motion, sound, and lab choices in your browser's localStorage. Not transmitted, not personal data — they live on your machine and never reach us. Cleared when you clear browser data.

— what we don't collect

No analytics — no Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, Umami, or similar.
No advertising or marketing pixels.
No tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own.
No third-party fonts — Archivo, Instrument Serif, and JetBrains Mono are self-hosted under /fonts/.
No third-party iframes. The motion-graphic embeds are local to the site.

— lawful basis

Processing your email correspondence rests on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us. If correspondence becomes part of a commission inquiry, the basis shifts to Article 6(1)(b) — pre-contractual steps at your request.

— how long we keep things

Inquiry emails are retained until the conversation has been resolved and a reasonable correspondence-record period has passed (typically twelve months). If you ask us to delete earlier, we will. Server logs are retained per the host's standard policy. Browser-local preferences are not held by us.

— international transfers

Our host, Vercel, is based in the United States. Transfer protections rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision (July 2023). Email transit may pass through similar infrastructure; the contents are encrypted in transit (TLS).

— your rights

Access — ask for a copy of what we hold.
Rectification — ask us to correct it.
Erasure — ask us to delete it.
Restriction — ask us to limit processing.
Portability — receive what we hold in a machine-readable form.
Objection — object to processing on legitimate-interest grounds.

Exercise any of these by writing to hello@atheric.eu. We will respond within thirty days.

If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman — tietosuoja.fi .
